What to do if you develop Covid-19 symptoms.

the most important symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19) are recent onset of one or more of the following:

  • new continuous cough
  • high temperature
  • loss of or change to your normal sense of smell or taste (anosmia)

For most people, coronavirus (COVID-19) will be a mild illness.  However, if you have any of the symptoms above you must self-isolate at home and arrange to have a test to see if you have COVID-19.  The link below gives information on self-isolating when you or a member of your household has symptoms.

Accessing HWB Emails

Every child in the school has their own HWB account with their individual username and password.  As part of their HWB account, each child has an email account using Microsoft Outlook.  This year, your child’s report will be emailed to their email account.  This is a quick guide on how to access Outlook via HWB.

Step 1 – Accessing HWB

  • Visit hwb.gov.wales
  • Click on “Log In” in the top right-hand corner

Step 2 – Logging In

  • When you click “Log In”, you will be asked to enter your child’s username.  This takes the form of their surname followed by their first initial and possibly a few numbers followed by “@hwbcymru.net”.  So, John Smith for example may have the username SmithJ512@hwbcymru.net
  • Then enter the password (please note that passwords are case sensitive)
  • Your child’s details should be written in their B-Link Book however if you or your child does not know their log in details, please contact the school.

Step 3 – Accessing Outlook

Once you have logged in, you will need to click on the “Outlook” button in order to access your child’s emails

Please could you acknowledge receipt of your child’s report by replying to the email.  You can also provide feedback on the report via the email response either to the class teacher or to the office @blaenbaglan.npt.school
